Production
Oil pumping : Transformer, supply by a VSD (Variable Speed Device), allows to regulate the voltage at the bushing of the pump depending on oil well parameters.
Offshore platform : Transformer is used for the electric supply for platform auxiliaries or pump. It must be specifically protected against corrosion and can also be designed to be settled in hazardous area (IECEX).
Transport/Stocking
celduc transfo provides transformers for supplying of compressor allowing to oil transport or gas stocking in underground cavity.

Compressor station / Motor starting
celduc transfo manufactures transformers working in Intermittent Duty such as :


- Starting autotransformers : autotransformers allows to supply a motor under reduce voltage when starting it while reducing the absorbed current on the network.
- Intermittent duty transformers : are cheaper than a transformer with same rated power working in Continuous duty.



Network protection

The earthing of a medium voltage without neutral or protection of alternator masses can be carried out using a homopolar generator associated to a resistor connected on the low voltage end.
This generators is like a three-phase transformer with two windings and free flux (or forced).
This transformer has a primary winding (medium voltage) which is star connected, with its neutral connected to the earth. The secondary is delta connected on a resistor.
During normal operation, the voltage across the terminals of the secondary is zero and no current flows through the resistor.
When a default occurs on a phase, the neutral point’s displacement on the primary makes appear an homopolar voltage on the terminals of secondary.
At this moment, a current flows through the resistor : which is done a default indication.
